JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will support the operations with various tasks related to investigations. Examples of tasks include conducting interrogations, processing reports, handling and documenting seizures, ordering forensic examinations, internal surveillance, and registering wanted persons. The work may also involve dealing with complex cases and investigative materials that may be perceived as both disturbing and unpleasant.
QUALIFICATIONS
This is an opportunity for you who:
- Are a student at the police education and have completed semester 3 by the start of employment in June 2026
- Have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
- Have good computer skills and find it easy to learn new IT systems.
- Have work experience.
It is an advantage if you also have:
- Previous experience of similar tasks within the Swedish Police Authority.
- Previous experience of investigative work outside the Swedish Police Authority.
- Experience in meeting people in vulnerable situations.
- Knowledge of sign language and/or non-Nordic languages, in addition to English, where you can use the language fluently in your professional practice.
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone who is outgoing and has good collaboration skills with a willingness to support your colleagues. You are flexible, responsible, and able to prioritize. The work pace is often high, which also requires resilience to stress. Furthermore, you need to be secure, possess great integrity, and have a high level of security awareness. You are a good representative of the police, act lawfully, and work to strengthen the authority's trust with the public.
We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Work location: Halland, placement in Halmstad, Varberg, or Kungsbacka.
Working hours: Daytime with flexibility.
Start date: June, by agreement.
Function: Investigator of serious crimes
Information about leave during the employment period:
If you are selected for employment, you do not have the right to vacation leave. Instead, you will receive vacation compensation paid out after the employment has ended. Shorter leave with salary deduction may be granted if the operations allow it and then by agreement with the manager.
